As a child of the 1980s, I was raised in a decade hair metal, cocaine, sitcoms, excess and unrealistic material expectations.
As an adult of the 2000s I am saddled with debt to my eyeballs and a newfound desire to make sure I dig out and put my financial life back on track.
And in case you’re wondering… I’ve never tried cocaine.
I’m a father of two, a husband of one, and a lover of every single dog walking the face of the earth. I work in videogames, I workout in the gym, and I teach kids teamwork as a lacrosse coach.
I’m trying to do the right thing here, and I hope others can learn from my journey and avoid some of the mistakes I’ve made.
At the end of the day, I want to set my kids up for better financial success and teach them the things that I wish someone had taught me many moons ago.
