Isn’t This Embarrassing?

Before we go any further, let me address the subject of my own embarrassment in effectively letting anyone who reads this know that I’ve really been pretty stupid with my finances.

It sucks.

I’m not thrilled at the thought of friends and family reading this blog and knowing that I’ve been throwing my money away on pointless purchases and high interest rates and have now placed myself in a deep financial hole. It’s pretty lame, and I feel like a loser.

But you know what? It could be worse. I could be doing the same things I’ve always done and digging myself even further into debt. I take some pride knowing that, even though it took far longer than it should have, I am making changes now to get on the right path.

So yeah, it’s not a lot of fun to be sharing stories of mistakes and mayhem on my road to deep debt and depression. What will be fun is sharing wins (some that have already happened) and successes that turned it around for me.

Stay tuned!
